A bunch of new hotels and pensions are appearing in Suceava superseding older, communist buildings.
Some of these are:
Hotel Imperium, a new four-star hotel at the very edge of the city, in a good location for escaping from the city, but in a bad location if using public transit. Prices are listed at 129 RON for a single, 159 RON for a double and 259 RON for an apartment. Website:
Pensiunea Leaganul Bucovinei: According to their website, , this 3 star pension offers reasonable prices (90-110 RON for a double room, 160 RON for an apartment). The location is similar to that of the Hotel Imperium above.
Pension Santa Fe: A 4-star pension, again situated on the outskirts of town, with good reviews on hotel sites like booking.com. The prices are unavailable on-line on their own website: . However, booking.com indicate prices around 40 Euros for a night's stay.
Pensiunea Scorpion : a 3-star pension located near Iulius Mall. Prices are around 100 RON per double room per night.

The High Class Hostel on Mihai Eminescu Street is a very good option for budget travelers, at about 15 Euros per night. The owner, Monica, also gives a wide variety of tours to places in the region, and she speaks good English and Swedish.
Irene's Hostel also offers cheap (from 10 euros a night) & clean hostel accommodation with use of facilities. It is also conveniently located 30m to the right of the bus station as you exit. Staff speak excellent English and can organise tours of the monasteries, etc.
