The intercity station Ede-Wageningen is located 3km south of the city center on the major line between Amsterdam and Arnhem. It's only about 25 minutes from Utrecht and about an hour from Amsterdam. Trains run roughly every 15 minutes between 5AM and 1AM
The smaller station Ede Centrum is located in the city center and very close to the bars and shopping streets. A local train service (look for the blue ones) will take you there in 5 minutes from Ede-Wageningen. It has also a connection to Amersfoort
As a short-distance alternative there are some bus lines linking Ede to other cities around it.
