Dharamsala and McLeod Ganj, the seat of the His Holiness the Dalai Lama, are two-and-a-half to three hours from Bir.
Shiva Temple ? Located in nearby Baijnath and dating from 1204 CE, the temple is a beautiful example of the Nagara style of early medieval North Indian temple architecture.
