Guanwu Recreation Area (觀霧遊憩區) as one of its three recreation areas within the park. This place is the only approach to climbing Dabajian Mountain (大霸尖山), one of Taiwan's Top 100 Mountains. But unfortunately, the linking road from Hsinchu was severely damaged by a typhoon in 2004, posing the potential for landslides, so this recreation area is still 'temporarily' closed as of 2009.
